The first short-track race of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was held on Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Food City 500 lived up to its billing as a thrilling race on a track that has a length of just over a half-mile. The big winner of the day was Brad Keselowski, who won his second straight race at the track. It was his fifth career win.
With the victory on Sunday, Keselowski shoots up to 13th in the Sprint Cup standings. It's already been a season of ups and downs for the driver after just four races. Although he now has a first-place finish and a fifth-place finish, he's finished 32nd twice. Greg Biffle remains the points leader overall, although his 13-place finish is a bit of a drop-off after three straight third-place finishes.
