Sacramento native Spencer Levin is finding his groove at TPC Scottsdale at the 2012 Waste Management Open as he has worked his way to a three stroke lead, currently sitting at 10-under par about midway through his round.
Levin is tied with Ben Crane for best round going this far, sitting at 4-under par for the day after firing a solid 6-under 65 on Thursday. Levin is still looking for his first ever PGA tour victory, though he's found the winner's circle thrice on the Canadian Tour. A Friday
Ryan Palmer and Bubba Watson find themselves tied for second and 7-under at the moment, while four other lurk behind at 6-under. Other than that, Levin has opened himself up a nice lead, though there are 36 plus holes left to be played, of course.
Phil Mickelson, currently at 3-under, is set to tee off at 1:16 MT, and will have a seven shot deficit waiting for him on the first tee.
