Waste Management Open 2012: Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler Headline Field At WMO

The 2012 Waste Management Open returns to TPC Scottsdale January 30 - February 5.

It's that time again Phoenix Area golf fans as the 2012 Waste Management Open returns to the TPC Scottsdale for another exciting week with the best golfers in the world!

Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Fred Couples, and defending tournament champion Mark Wilson hit the links alongside the likes of Bubba Watson, Vijay Singh, Bill Haas, Kenny Perry, and Justin Leonard for four days of fun under the sun, with a nice paycheck to boot ($1.098 million for the eventual winner).

A number of local golfers also have committed to the event, such as Robert Garrigus, Ricky Barnes, Martin Laird, Billy Mayfair, Pat Perez, Chez Reavie, Mathew Goggin and Kevin Streelman. Three-time Phoenix Open Champion Mark Calcavecchia, Scottsdale resident Jeff Quinney and Arizona State University graduate Matt Jones all received sponsor exemptions.

The Open will be played January 30 - February 5, 2012, at the TPC Scottsdale.
