After missing one game with an illness, Phoenix Suns forward Michael Beasley will return to the line-up Wednesday to face the New York Knicks. Beasley is averaging 10.5 points per game in his first season in Phoenix.
After missing a game with illness over the weekend, Michael Beasley will return to the Suns line-up the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
Beasley sat out last Sunday's 103-77 loss to the Clippers while suffering from the flu.
Here's what he had to say about missing time, with his quote coming via the Phoenix Suns official Twitter feed:
"Hate sitting out. I don't care if I have a broken leg or a broken neck. I don't like to sit out. I love the game of basketball," Beasley said.
For Beasley it's been a bit of a disappointing first year in Phoenix, as the fifth-year player out of Kansas State has struggled after being removed from the starting line-up earlier in the season. He is averaging 10.5 points per game, but has scored in double-figures just once in his last six outings, and has only played over 30 minutes once during that stretch as well.
The Suns have lost two straight entering Wednesday's game with the New York Knicks.
Game-time is set for 9 p.m. ET.
