The Cardinals have made a move to replace the injured Lyle Sendlein.

Scott Wedige has been added to the Arizona Cardinals' active roster, the player reported via his Twitter account on Monday. Wedige will be replacing Lyle Sendlein on the 53-man squad. Sendlein suffered a torn MCL on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams and will be about for the remainder of the season.

Wedige spent all of training camp with the Cardinals, but was cut at the end of the preseason. Prior to signing with Arizona on Monday, he was working on the practice squad for the Cincinnati Bengals. Wedige is a rookie out of Northern Illinois, and he has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.

The loss of Sendlein, who had started 80 consecutive games before this week, deals a blow to an already struggling Arizona offensive line. The line has been a big reason for the Cardinals' seven-game losing streak that has dropped them from first in the division to last.
