Lyle Sendlein injury: Cardinals center out for season

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

Sendlein has been a starter for the Cardinals since the 2008 season.

Nothing seems to be going right for the Arizona Cardinals in their last seven games. Not only have they lost every one of them, their thin offensive line is about to get even thinner with the loss of their anchor in the middle.

Sendlein reportedly tore the MCL in his left knee during the first quarter against the St. Louis Rams. Sendlein had been a big part of the Cardinals offensive line. In his sixth year in Arizona, Sendlein had started 80 straight games dating back to 2008. Rich Ohrnberger is expected to fill in at the center position in Sendlein's absence.

It hasn't been an easy go of it for the Cardinals offensive line this season. They already lost tackles Levi Brown and Jeremy Bridges in the preseason with season ending injuries. The Cardinals will hit the road for two games, first to the Big Apple to face the New York Jets before heading to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
