Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

The Cardinals face an Atlanta Falcons team this Sunday that is 18-3 following a loss since 2008.

The Arizona Cardinals face a big test as they look to get back in to the playoff hunt this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are 8-1 and coming off a loss to the New Orleans Saints. Facing a team with only one loss is tough enough, but AZCardinals.com writes the Falcons are 18-3 following loss since the Mike Smith era began in 2008. Smith says his team makes it a priority to get over a loss quickly.

"You've got to put that previous game behind you and when you don't get the outcome you want, there is an emphasis point of stopping that streak at one," Smith said. "That's how we've approached it since we've gotten here."

The Cardinals have lost five straight after starting the season 4-0 and are currently 1.5 games back of the Seattle Seahawks for the final NFC Wild Card spot. Kickoff for Sunday's game from the Georgia Dome is set for 10 a.m. and can be seen on Fox.
