Arizona vs. Stanford 2012: Game time, TV schedule, odds and more

Rick Scuteri-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

After dropping their first two games in conference play, the Arizona Wildcats head out on the road to face No. 18 Stanford on Saturday.

Coming off their first loss of the season, the No. 18 Stanford Cardinal will look to rebound when they host the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday.

Stanford lost 17-13 to Washington on the road last week, dropping 10 spots in the polls as a result. While the Stanford defense has been stout this season, allowing just 15.3 points per game, the offense has struggled. Outside of a 50 point outburst against Duke in Week 2, the Cardinal offense has averaged 19.3 points per game in their other three games. Junior quarterback Josh Nunes has struggled recently, completing less than 50 percent of his passes in the last two games.

Arizona is also coming off a close loss, losing 38-35 to Oregon State. After starting the season 3-0, the Wildcats have started 0-2 in conference play. The Wildcats are led by Matt Scott who is coming off a 403 yard game against OSU. While Scott has continued to rack up yards through the air, he hasn't been as much of a dual threat recently, rushing for just 38 yards over the last two games.

Stanford opened as a 12-point favorite. The Cardinal have won the last two meetings against Arizona and seven of the last nine.

Game time/date: Oct. 6, 3 p.m. ET

Location: Stanford Stadium, Stanford, Calif.

TV Schedule: Fox

Odds: Stanford favored by 12 points
