Examining the BCS standings for Week 9.

The second BCS standings were released on Sunday night following a busy weekend of college football action. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators remained in the top two spots, respectively, but the Kansas St. Wildcats were able to leapfrog the Oregon Ducks following another big win this weekend. The reasoning for the Wildcats' jump over the Ducks is believed to be the strength of schedule factor.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish held onto their No. 5 ranking. As for the Pac-12, there are four teams in the top 25 standings. Oregon is fourth, Oregon State moved up to seventh, USC is ninth and Stanford is 17th.

The full top 10 goes like this: Alabama, Florida, Kansas State, Oregon, Notre Dame, LSU, Oregon State, Oklahoma, USC and Georgia. A complete look at the standings can be found here.

There are numerous big games for the Pac-12 next weekend. USC travels to Arizona and Oregon State makes the trip north to Washington. The Ducks have another easy game with Colorado, while Stanford welcomes in the 2-5 Washington St. Cougars.
