NFL picks against the spread, Week 7: NFC West showdown on Thursday night

On Thursday Night Football, two NFC rivals go at it, just as it was two weeks ago. But instead of the Rams and theCardinals, it is the Seattle Seahawks that will visit the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night on NFL Network. Vegas has the home team Niners favored. But what do we say with out picks against the spread?

Currently, San Fran is favored by seven and a half points. Seattle likes to play close games and both teams have very good defenses.

The Niners are coming off a beatdown by the the New York Giants and the Seahawks are winners over the New England Patriots.

However, the Niners have won 10 straight games home games against NFC West rivals. They are 8-1 against the spread in the last nine. More importantly, the home team is 4-1 straight up in Thursday night games.

The moral of the story? I'm not making the mistake of picking the road team again, as I have for the last two weeks.

Our pick? Take the Niners, give up the points and you win.
