The Arizona State Sun Devils received some good news on DT Will Sutton's knee after he was forced to leave Thursday's game against Oregon following just two snaps.

The Arizona State Sun Devils were dominated from start to finish by the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night en route to a belittling 43-21 loss. The game itself was a showcase for No. 3 Oregon on a nationally televised stage and, at the same time, an embarrassment for Arizona State.
The game is one that Sun Devil fans should quickly forget, according to Brad Denny of SB Nation's Arizona State blog, House of Sparky. Not only did Arizona State lose handily to Oregon, but the Sun Devils lost one of their key starters on defense, defensive tackle Will Sutton, to injury.
Sutton forced a fumble from Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota but injured his knee in the process on the second play of the game. Sutton was seen walking with crutches on the sideline after the injury and his status for the rest of the season remains to be determined.
"It's not often that the second play of the game was the best and the worst for a team," Denny wrote. "Such was the case for Arizona State on Thursday night."

According to a tweet from Doug Haller, Arizona State head coach Todd Graham said that injured defensive tackle Will Sutton will have an MRI tomorrow and Graham didn't sound encouraged. Haller also tweeted that Graham spoke about replacing Sutton.
Sutton hurt his knee in the first quarter of the Sun Devils' loss to the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night in Tempe, Ariz. He was out for the rest of the game, though he did return to the sidelines to support his teammates, already using crutches.
Sutton wasn't alone when it came to defensive line casualties. Defensive end Nduka (Junior) Onyeali left during the first quarter with an apparent arm injury. The loss of both players further hampered the Sun Devils' ability to stop the Ducks' rushing attack, which ended the game with a total of 406 yards rushing, including 329 in the second half.
The Sun Devils came into the game allowing 187.8 rushing yards and 14.2 points against.

The Oregon Ducks dominated every facet of Thursday's football game following DT Will Sutton's departure, handing ASU a 43-21 loss in front of their home crowd.

The Oregon Ducks are absolutely routing an injury-ravaged Arizona State team and now lead 43-7 following a truly dominant first half.
The Sun Devils got off to a hot start with DT Will Sutton forcing a fumble from Marcus Mariota on just the second snap of the game. But even with Taylor Kelly finding Kevin Ozier for a 28-yard touchdown on their first play, ASU surely wished that turn of events never happened as Sutton was lost for the game due to a right leg injury he suffered on the turnover.
With Arizona State's most talented defender now out of the picture, the Ducks began to run wild. Beginning with RB Kenjon Barner busting off a 71-yard touchdown sprint on the second play of the next drive, Oregon would go on to score 43 unanswered in the half. The Ducks found pay dirt on six consecutive drives before their first punt.
Oregon was assisted with Kelly tossing two interceptions but it's not like ASU's ransacked defense could slow Oregon down even without the setback of a short a field. Beyond Sutton, the Devils also lost two other key defensive lineman as Junior Onyeali left with what looks to be shoulder injury and Davon Coleman missed some snaps after limping off.
Overall, the Ducks have already compiled 329 rushing yards against a Devils team that was allowing an average of 187.8 coming in. With their unstoppable ground game, Mariota has been asked to only throw 12 times but he's completed nine of them for 46 yards. The redshirt freshman has had 135 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown to compliment Barner (14 carries, 137 yards, three touchdowns).
As for Arizona State, the Devils have only been able to rack up 138 yards and six first downs in the game as Kelly has gone 3-for-10 since tossing a touchdown on his first pass. In the good news department, ASU will be getting the ball coming out of the locker room so hopefully they can make the score look a little more respectable before this one is over.

The Arizona State defense took two major hits during the first quarter as Junior Onyeali and Will Sutton left with injuries.

Arizona State got off to a hot start with a quick takeaway and score but since then, it's been all Oregon as the Ducks have scored three unanswered touchdowns to take a 22-7 first quarter lead.
The Sun Devils won the coin flip but curiously chose to defer to the explosive Oregon offense. Obviously Todd Graham knew something the fans didn't though because Will Sutton forced a Marcus Mariota fumble on just the second snap of the game. Unfortunately for Arizona State, there was a bit of a trade off with the turnover as Sutton was lost for the game after suffering a right leg injury on the play.
But Sutton's big play wouldn't go to waste as Taylor Kelly hooked up with Kevin Ozier on the Devil's first play from scrimmage for a 28-yard touchdown.
That lead wouldn't hold for long though. Following a Mariota incompletion on first down, RB Kenjon Barner busted right through the hole left by Sutton for a 71-yard touchdown, the longest play the Devils have allowed all season. The Ducks then chose to send a message to ASU on the point after, completing a two-point conversion with punter Jackson Rice's tipped pass finding the hands of kicker Rob Beard.
Shortly after a 43-yard missed field goal from ASU's Alex Garoutte, the Ducks would build their lead with 14-play drive that concluded with Mariota lofting a beauty to WR Bralon Addison for a six-yard score.
And on Oregon's next drive, they'd find pay dirt yet again. After Barner's one-yard touchdown was taken off the board due to the previous play being under review, Mariota flipped the ball to a wide open Bryan Bennett from two yards away as the quarterback was being brought down by multiple defenders.
The quarter ended with the Devils on their own 25 trying to convert a third and two.
