2012 Senior Bowl: North Wins 23-13, Local Players Score TDs

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 Senior Bowl pitted the North All-stars against the South All-stars. Oddly enough Arizona State and University of Arizona were separated, with ASU in the North and U of A in the South. The end result was a 23-13 North victory, but the bigger story was the contribution of the players representing Arizona schools. Of the three touchdowns scored, two of them involved ASU and U of A.

For ASU, receiver Gerell Robinson was on the North squad. He caught two passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.

For the Wildcats, quarterback Nick Foles threw a fourth quarter 20-yard touchdown pass. Who caught it? His Arizona teammate, receiver Juron Criner. Foles was 11/15 for 137 yards a the score. Criner caught six passes for 77 yards and the TD.

With all three players looking right now that they will be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft in April, it was good to see them leave their mark on this final college football game of the season. There is still much to do, but we will likely see all three of these players on NFL rosters come the fall.
