Stay connected for news and updates

Braylon Edwards has had -- we'll call it interesting and controversial -- last couple of days, but he has found a new team for the upcoming 2011 season. The wide receiver has signed a 1-year, $3.5 million dollar deal to play for the San Francisco 49ers, according to reports.

Despite the Cardinals showing interest in Edwards and the fit being in place, it is for the best that the wide receiver go elsewhere. While talented and capable of helping an offense, the extra baggage and potential complications with the law outweighed his production on the field.

With one target off the board another could now emerge for Arizona. Former San Diego Chargers receiver Malcolm Floyd is looking for a new team and he could be a nice fit with the Cardinals. No substantial rumors to this point, but something could come within the week.
