Davonte Neal plays for Chaparral in Scottsdale, Arizona and is perhaps one of the mostly highly sought after prospects in the 2012 recruiting class.
- Rivals: 136th best recruit in Rivals250, 20th best receiver, 4th best recruit in state of Arizona
- ESPN: 28th best recruit in ESPNU150, 2nd best athlete
-
Scout: 6th best cornerback
- 247 Sports: 86th best recruit in Top 247, 10th best athlete, 3rd best recruit in state of Arizona
Watching his recruiting tape seems to justify all those lofty rankings.

Neal possesses great athleticism, great movement, and good shiftiness. He can play in all areas of the field, although he's probably best served as a deep threat wide receiver or a defensive shutdown cornerback. Playing two-ways also isn't out of the question.
Neal cut down his massive offer list from 50 schools to 13, according to Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic.
- Arizona Wildcats
- Washington Huskies
- BYU Cougars
- Utah Utes
- Boston College Eagles
- USC Trojans
- Ohio St. Buckeyes
- Auburn Tigers
- Miami Hurricanes
- Georgia Bulldogs
- North Carolina Tar Heels
- LSU Tigers
- Oregon St. Beavers
What is surprising is that ASU is no longer on Neal's list, as they were one of the first schools that offered him. But times do change. This has to be exciting news for Wildcats fans though; Arizona is a school that needs great talent
