Arizona State athletics has hit a rough spot over the past four weeks. The two biggest sports on campus have had disappointing months, and now a head coach has been fired. Dennis Erickson was relieved of his duties on Monday after going 31-30 in five seasons as head coach. Herb Sendek's team hasn't exactly turned heads as they are 2-4 on the season and have losses against: Pepperdine, New Mexico and Fairfield.

Cameron Marshall continued his superb season as he rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Brock Osweiler threw for three touchdowns but also threw two interceptions. The ASU defense allowed 484 yards and Arizona State committed 11 penalties. ASU is bowl eligible for the first time since 2007 and will find out which bowl they will attend this weekend.
The Arizona State Football team had nine players that received All-Pac-12 Honors. Junior Jamal Miles and seniors Garth Gerhart and Clint Floyd earned second team All-Pac-12. Miles is the only player in the nation to score a touchdown reception, a touchdown on a kickoff return and punt return, and throw a touchdown pass. Garth Gerhart anchored the Sun Devil offensive line, starting 38 games over his Sun Devil career and Floyd led ASU in total takeaways. Jamaar Jarrett, Dan Knapp, Cameron Marshall, Bo Moos, Colin Parker, and Gerell Robinson received honorable mention Pac-12 honors.
The Arizona State Men's Basketball team went 1-2 in the Old Spice Classic last week in Orlando, Florida. ASU lost its opener 55-44 to Fairfield. ASU finished the season 9-22 overall and 5-17 in conference. Ashley Kastl had 18 kills and senior Malia Bachynski notched 10 of her own in her final game in the maroon and gold. Player of the Week: Sophomore guard Keala King- King had the best games of his Sun Devil career in succession at the Old Spice Classic. King had 25 points in a victory against Wake Forrest and 22 in a losing effort against DePaul. King shot 8-10 from the field against Wake Forrest and he made 7-8 free throws in that game. King is averaging 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds a game on the season.
Must Watch of the Week: The ASU men's basketball team will play its first true road game this Saturday as the travel to play Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane are 4-3 this season and have been competitive against good teams all year. A win would put ASU one game below .500 but a loss may put them in a difficult hole to dig out of.
