Arizona Wildcats Basketball: Sidiki Johnson Suspended Indefinitely

Stay connected for news and updates

According to multiple reports on Monday night, Sean Miller has suspended freshman forward Sidiki Johnson indefinitely for a violation of team rules. No further details were given by the university nor was a suspension length announced, but it is safe to say Johnson will not be eligible for Wednesday's crucial game against San Diego State.

Johnson, who was among the first players to commit to UA once Miller took over the program, has seldom played this season and has drawn the ire of his coaching staff for selfish play on the court. He has played a total of seven minutes and only saw playing time in three of Arizona's first five games.

With a stellar recruiting class of post players coming to Arizona next season, Johnson's future with the program has to be in doubt at this time. Hopefully Sidiki can work through his issues with the coaching staff and his teammates and return to the court sooner rather than later.
