Carrier Classic: After Great North Carolina vs. Michigan State Event, The Arizona Wildcats Are Up In 2012

For all intents and purposes, the 2011 Carrier Classic was viewed as a huge success. It featured two of the nation's best programs in North Carolina and Michigan State, and while the final score was not close, it was a closely contested game throughout. And with thousands of troops in attendance, what better way to show our appreciation for all they do other than an incredible basketball game on an aircraft carrier?

Now that the event is over, college basketball fans can look forward to the 2012 Carrier Classic. It features two of the most prominent programs in the country: the Arizona Wildcats and the Connecticut Huskies.

The game, of course, will likely be the first rematch between the two schools after their classic matchup in the 2011 Elite Eight that saw the Huskies win by two points. Revenge will be on the minds of Sean Miller and the Wildcats and fans should expect yet another great event in 2012 at the Carrier Classic.
