Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Kyle Turris registered a goal and an assist, lifting the Phoenix Coyotes to a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks in the preseason opener for both clubs.
Viktor Tikhonov, Andrew Ebbett and Brett MacLean also scored for the Coyotes. Jason LaBarbera started in goal for Phoenix and made 20 saves.
Bobby Ryan lit the lamp for the Ducks, while Curtis McElhinney and Jean- Philippe Levasseur split time between the pipes. McElhinney stopped 20 of the 22 shots he faced. Levasseur allowed two goals on 18 shots.
