The Arizona Wildcats face another tough test on Saturday, playing the undefeated BYU Cougars up in Salt Lake City. Brigham Young (9-0) has been paced by Jimmer Fredette, and at this point they look unstoppable. Arizona (8-1) has looked good as well in the early going, with their only loss coming to #4 Kansas.
Wildcats sophomore Derrick Williams has led the team in scoring with 20.2 points per game. He also leads the team in rebounds, steals, and blocked shots per game -- essentially, Williams is the reason Arizona is playing so well.
Fredette has averaged 22.7 ppg and has shot an impressive 88.1% from the charity stripe.
This game will come down to whether or not the Wildcats can slow down Fredette. A surefire NBA Draft lottery pick, he's the key to the Cougars' success in 2010-2011. Even with a huge game from Williams, expect BYU to escape with a close home victory.
